Hermione whispered the spell and felt her finger bleed. Under the light of a floating candle and between the drapes of her bed, Hermione pressed her painlessly-cut finger into the parchment, whispering "Aru'veyna" and then "Reparo" to her finger, feeling the flesh wind around itself once again and heal the cut. She shuddered and then sighed. The ink on her scroll disappeared and she rolled it up hastily, tying it with pre-cut crimson ribbon. She dropped the scroll to her side where it fell against the pile of things she had in bed with her: ink, parchment, ribbon, seven books and two quills, among other things.
Hermione selected a scratch piece of parchment from the bottom of the pile and tore off a square. She inked her quill and began her second letter.
Harry,
When are you taking your potion? I am taking mine tonight in hopes of sleeping through a good third of my time-of-doom, as I've decided to call it. Harry, I AM ACTUALLY AFRAID OF TAKING THIS POTION. No, I'm more afraid of OTHERS taking this potion. Merlin, help us all.
Hermione
P.S. REMEMEBR, HARRY! Before you take your potion you MUST add another three crushed spider-legs and shake VERY WELL before taking the potion, as I've told you a hunderd times already today, otherwise you will be HYPER sensitive and probably go into shock and need to be hospitalised. Please, for the love of everything, don't have already taken your potion without having added the extra powder! I am wringing my hands already. All right, I'm taking it. Now. I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow. Expect me to be upset.
Hermione let the small scroll bounce back together and she used a light binding charm to seal it. She wrote on the outside in small letters "To Harry Potter, who should listen to Hermione Granger and add his spider legs before taking his potion."
She picked up the vile looking vial that was resting near her knee and uncorked it.
She took a deep breath.
And swallowed.
Hermione shoved all the rubbish on her bed aside in one swoop, pulled her drapes aside, and yanked her sweater on over her night shirt. Stuffing her stocking-covered feet into her flats, she picked up the two scrolls, whispered "Lumos" to her wand, blew out the candle (which, in it's own right, continued to hover) and headed in a very intoxicated way toward the door.
Woosh. And she felt it hit her bloodstream, prickling like a waking limb. Then the sensation was gone and she felt almost entirely detached from her present self. Her head swirled with colors and people she didn't know and emotions toward them she didn't recognise.
Dreams, her conscious mind screamed.
Who knew I would be able to feel people's dreams? She looked around with complete distraction at her four sleeping roomates.
"OWLERY" shouted some little part of her brain and she remembered just a enough of who she was and why she was halfway to her dormitory door, carrying two scrolls and a lit wand at two o'clock in the morning on a school night, to turn and exit into the chilly common room and enter the chilly halls toward the gufferia.
Why random Italian words came to Hermione while she was going mad with what felt like poison in her vains was utterly beyond her.
She walked.

Tonks,
I was informed by a second year Gryffindor yesterday of a few important things. She, allegedly, followed Miss. Pansy Parkinson and Mr. Draco Malfoy around for a good hour on Saturday last and was witness to them being intimate and giggly. I wasn't impressed when she told me this as students are free to snog whomever they please during off-hours. What did pique my interest was that they also, allegedly, went into the Forbidden Forest. I suppose this was her motivation for telling me - I am a prefect and they were breaking rules - but she also said that the two were discussing life after having the Dark Mark.
As this is completely second-hand knowledge, I understand that I am merely gossiping but I think this could lead to a very important tie if what she is saying is true. I believe she has told the truth with all that I am - she was trembling and wanted to have a hug afterward, even.
My head is swirling with thoughts. Does this mean that the Death Eaters are accepting students? How does their "system" work? Are there ranks? Can you be a follower of Voldemort and not be a Death Eater (and have the mark)? What if they are having an arranged marraige? I know that both their families have long pedegrees of purebloods - The Malfoys of Britain and the Parkinsons of Britan and France. Would Voldemort force a marraige like this? Would he force the Dark Mark upon kids? Why do Pansy and Malfoy want to be marked? Are Pansy's parents marked?
I am utterly useless. Becasue I know almost nothing I can't give you any insight, only facts.
Lydia Cliffe thinks that Pansy and Malfoy are planing to get the Dark Mark by the way they were talking and insinuating what their futures will look like.
My ears are open.
Fortunately, so are Lydia's.
