New obsession...
I just bought a couple of spindles at the end of December & got some practice roving to try my hand a spinning yarn. So here's the progression of the spinning.
I did forget to take a pic of all 1 oz of it spun on the spindle but here it is on an empty tp roll next to the purple variegate thread I plied it with.
And finally here it is all pied & skeined. It's a light grey swalesdale wool, I believe undyed. I'm still learning. :D Whatcha think?
It's about 30 yards & I think I'm gonna make this wee little owl out of it. It's so fun, I'm starting to want an actual spinning wheel & if this overtime at work keeps up (56 hours this week when I normally do 20) , I'll have it in a month or two.
