Yay for Lunapads' "Spread the Love" campaign!
I hope the promotion is still on-going and I hope I'm eligible.
I'm very new to cloth pads. In fact, I haven't used one yet. I've heard about them but I didn't given them much thought. However, that will all be changing rather soon. I have a very guilty conscious and it doesn't help that I stress over environmental issues. I've gotten rid of a lot of things this year to fit into my environmentally-friendly doctrine: continuing to eat a vegetarian diet (it's now > 1 year since I started!), donating old clothing (instead of throwing them away), replacing my dead light bulbs with CFLs, etc. I really can't believe how long it's taken me to realize the amount of waste I've been creating with my disposable pads. My mom isn't too happy about the reusable pads though. She wasn't exactly ecstatic when I told her about going vegetarian either. I've promised to purchase them with my own money and wash them myself. Frankly, I'm equally ecstatic and baffled about the variety of cloth pads available. They are so freaking good looking compared to those boring white, disposable pads. I'm not sure which cloth pads I will purchase though I am thinking of getting a bunch from different brands. I'm definitely going to purchase a kit from Lunapads (not sure which one yet) since they're the reason why I seriously looked into cloth pads in the first place. :)
