I love the expression on her face. Lovely job, tbranch.
The accompanying story is a theme I've always enjoyed seeing explored, Hermione's thoughts while she wore the locket Horcrux. I thought ldymusyc handled her thoughts and insecurities very well.
I can see the indecision in Hermione's expression in the artwork. The fic just blew me away. The locket has really done a number on her. Or is it right? Perhaps she should start thinking about the ethics of magic and right and wrong. If a hex can be reversed is it still wrong to do it?
tbranch: Gah, where to begin?! You have such a distinctive, outstanding style. Haven't a clue what was in your mind for the piece when I started writing, so I hope it wasn't too off the wall for you. :) I love your use of color, and the thick linework you use. It's immediately clear "this is a tbranch art" no matter the subject. I loved the indecision and confusion in Hermione's face, and was glad to work with this!
Heh. Thanks a lot! Yeah, I did the Phase I piece, relatively at the same time, so I wanted to make them as distinct as possible. This piece can be interpreted in so many ways, and I'm really glad of the way you handled it. Totally perfect!! =)
Lovely picture, her emotions are open, her hesitation is vivid.
The story was really a great character study. The aftermath of all of those events would be hard to cope with. I completely believe that Hermione would entertain thoughts of leaving the wizarding world.
