That was probably why he was actually nervous when he knocked on Hermione's door. He'd even gone so far as to dress up more than usual. Gone were the plain jeans and long sleeve t-shirt. Instead, he'd gone with actual slacks and a dark navy button-down.

Which... was actually kind of romantic at the time.
But, that relationship and crumbled and failed. Now, as adults and no doom in sight, they still wanted to make it work.
Hermione checked herself in the mirror one more time before making her way to the door. She paused and exhaled, then pulled it open.
A huge smile spread across her face at the sight of Ron in actual pants and real, grown-up shoes. "I'm sorry, who are you? I don't think I recognize this man."
