Hurm...
This has been my week:
Monday: at 5am, I woke up with stomach cramps and...other distasteful problems. Eventually, the pain and...other distasteful problems lead me to start screaming deliriously and flailing. Eventually Ilythia took me to the Emergency room, where, after a THREE HOUR WAIT (screaming in agony the whole time) they gave me unneccessarry x-rays and then told me I had something like that weird stomach thing that has been knocking people out on cruise ships. Why the 3 hour wait? No insurance. But eventually they rehydrated me, pumped me full of pain medication and nausea drugs, and sent me home.
For the rest of Monday, I slept all day and drank a whole lot of liquids, broguht to me by my healing faery, Ilythia.
Tuesday: Rested. Ate small, semi-solid foods. Continued to be sick, and mostly achy with headaches and other sufferings. Rolled around a lot. Felt crappy.
Wednesday: Finally a little more functional. Planned on going to work. Snowed in. Couldn't go to work. Ilyhtia has a good job prospect, which would help us a lot!
Thursday: Go to the Dentist. I need a root canal. Whee...Luckilly, the dentist is a family friend of Ilythia's and is cutting us a deal, or else we wouldn't be able to afford it. Even with that (he's doing his part of it for free, so send positive energy to all the dentists you know from me), this will be my birthday present from my family. I'm thinking of tying a very tiny bow around the tooth... Plus, Ilythia's great job prospect, while not having fallen through, is fraying at the edges, which makes her very sad, and subsequently makes me sad. She's very capable and brave, but her job trouble has been making her sad a lot lately. She's just not the square peg that most people want. Thank goddess.
Finally, to make everyone feel better, we got some extra nice salads and enjoyed them in the living room. Until, while cutting a pepper, I spilled my entire salad all over myself. At this point, I cried, because the week has just been killing us. But now I just feel week and exposed. Sigh.
There endeth the whining. But that's why I've been not posting: lots of distasteful bodilly functions (including one all over the x-ray room at the hospital. Even my internal structure knows how to stick it to the man!)
