Update on my niece: she has had her first chemo, and took it reasonably well. She will lose her hair (not that she'll care or notice), but she should be all right. My Mother is still down there, keeping tabs on things, and my brother and sister-in-law are dealing with things. So that's where we are.

I try to keep everyone informed :) I feel bad because I think I was in a grump when they called, but sometimes that can't be helped. Even on herbs of joy, I'm a moody beast...
