Hey! You're the person I need to talk about regarding MUSE lyrics.

My cousin and I were discussing the song "Shrinking Universe". The official MUSE site has the first line of the song listed as "Cast your eye-tears onto me...", when both my cousin and myself feel he says "Cast your IDEALS onto me".

I'm hoping against hope that Mr. Bellamy wouldn't write such a shitty lyric as "Cast your EYE-TEARS onto me...", so maybe you can help solve this puzzle for my cousin, and myself.

well, i went to my faithful friend musewiki and looked up the song.
they have the lyric as cast your ideals onto me...

i then decided to listen to it on my ipod just to formulate my own opinion, and he most definitely says "ideals."
i can see how it could be misinterpreted because he starts the word [ideals] in one key and finishes in it another, but sir bellamy going does not disappoint and clearly express the line cast your ideals onto me..:) (

Yeah, thank god. The muse.mu site has the lyrics listed as "eye tears", and that's awful.

My cousin and myself were 97% sure he said "ideals", now I'm 99.999% sure :)

HAHA I've always mumbled/made up my own lyrics when to those parts in Supermassive!

Yeah sure, some of their songs has pretty good lyrics but really, maybe he was drunk in some of these hahah love them though. Hilarious bunch of dudes .:D
