I know I can't make you come to me when an attack happens -- and it will happen -- but I'd never forgive myself if something happened to you and I wasn't able to do anything about it, or just didn't do anything about it.

...If things had happened differently, maybe I'd say yes. But the way things are now, I can't do that so easily. I made a promise, and I want to get stronger and keep that promise--and as much as I hate to say it, the other Judai wouldn't be happy about having to take shelter under you.

Besides that, if I ever do end up in danger with you I could stay around, especially if Judai's not threatened at the same time. But promise me you won't just stick me in the sidelines and expect me to do nothing. I may be human, but I don't want to stand around idly while you're out putting yourself in danger--again.
