Some of you just can't resist causing trouble, huh? Sure doesn't get you all that far, considering you're still stuck in this stupid dome with the rest of us.

For Holy's freaking sake. Like it's a damn crime to just give it a rest for a while.Walter, if you've got a minute can you come take a look at Seventh Heaven with me? We can talk about ( Read more... )

[Who is this person who knows where they live? ...Besides "someone Stella knows." But instead of asking, time to be subtle. Or what pases for it with her.]

So Walter's officially picked up construction as a job, rather than a weird hobby by now, huh?

[Looks like Stella, knows Walter; he's guessing she's a Ferines.]

Yeah. He built the barracks; I asked him for help earlier, but things got...busy.

"Busy." I guess that's one way to put it.

Is he getting any compensation for it, or is this just a way for him to relieve boredom? --Unless he owes you a favour or something of the kind.

We'll work something out. [Aka Cloud wants to repay him somehow but Walter isn't exactly being forthcoming with information on how exactly he can do that.]

Good luck with that. He's pretty self-reliant. [This one's probably true, but Fenimore's not the best source of information on Walter. Since he's not very forthcoming on a lot of things, she's come to just make a rather large number of assumptions about him.]

Well, then if he doesn't want anything then I guess he's doing it because he's bored.

I didn't mean that he didn't want anything. I meant that he wouldn't tell you what he would want. He mightn't expect anything, though.

Okay, well either way I'm not gonna worry about it.

Geez, you're not very grateful. That's like taking him for granted.

He's a grown man, he can tell me if he wants something from me. I'm not gonna wrestle it out of him.

You don't get it, do you? Men don't say what they want when it comes to something like this. You have to guess something they'd want done in return and then you do it, even if it's just something small like baking something for them that they'd like. [Yes, you did just get lectured on how men behave by a teenage girl. On the plus side, she has no idea what she's talking about, even if she sounds entirely confident in it.]

...you're aware that I am a guy, right?

[Completely seriously:] Yes. Just being a guy isn't always enough to understand how guys work.

Thank you for the info. I'll definitely keep that in mind. [What is this even. Girls are the strangest creatures sometimes.]

[...yeah he's not even going to try lying.] I was definitely considering it.
