SO MALE. Peter Petrelli. I have to go with that. Your whole personality, not caring what the risks are as long as it helps someone because you wouldn't be able to stand it yourself if you didn't try, energetic and emotional, your virtues... everything really kinda screamed Peter to me.
Female? That was a bit harder imo since it didn't just jump out at me for you. I think I'm going to have to go with Yaeko. She's can seem calm at times, but when it comes down to it she shows little fear in jumping into action to save the people she cares about. She's the swordsmith's daughter and obviously not a warrior physically, but shows stronger conviction than the other characters during that time. She follows her heart, and I think that's something you two share that's very important.
Male: Call me crazy but for some reason your personality description and this/that answers remind me a lot of Hiro! Female: I'm not sure if I can vote for her since she's a minor character, but I'm thinking Charlie Andrews here.
Female: I think that you're so Claire. Because I think she can be outgoing, playful, enthusiastic, hyper, and childish, and very stubborn. She's also protecive of her loved ones, naïve, impatient... and many more of the things you write, not to mention your response to the last question.
Male: Hm... Compassion and the wish to have an epic destiny, and t o that "highly empathetic and more sympathetic than most"... "often been described as hateful...", "eye is always on the horizon, to others I often appear restless..." I'd say Peter, and also for some of the reasons why you sound like Claire.
male: Hiro Nakamura. I actually see a lot of him in the adjectives you used to describe yourself, as well as your values and Volume 5 answers. he's definitely an optimistic and energetic person too.
female: Monica Dawson. I don't really see a lot of the female characters in you, but you being inspired but sensitive, optimistic, outgoing, impulsive, and your beliefs remind me of Monica.
