It was dark red… slick and almost sweet smelling as it ran through his fingers. In the back of his mind the watchmaker, Gabriel Gray, knew what had happened. He had killed a man in cold blood. A man with an ability… Or had it been someone without? The lines were blurring so close together that he wasn’t even sure anymore.
You didn’t kill the man, Gabriel.
That voice in his head… always consoling him. Making sure that he was alright. In the end, he was always alright. Especially when he had Sylar to take care of him. What he hadn’t known was that it had been Sylar whom had killed the man. The killer had taken the man’s life because he’d threatened the watchmaker.
Let’s just go home… get us cleaned up.
That sounded like a good idea. Hopefully before the night was through the killer would take the watchmaker’s mind off the unknown man’s death. If only he had known the man… had recognized him. Then he’d of known. Known that the blood on his hands belonged to someone that he knew… belonged to…
