One thing I found on Alexander when I was in Armenia is that manuscript on him from the Manuscript Museum in Yerevan. Here's the pic:

Hey, this codex is truly interesting! The pictures have beautiful colors. But what text is it? A text translating a greek source, so maybe Harrian or Diodorus or some other writer? A legend about Alexander from byzantine tradition?
And BTW, I hope your journey to Armenia has been good! Welcome back :D

I have no clue what the text is.I wondered about that, too. Unfortunately it wasn't written in the explanation, and if it wasn't for the title that said it was about ATG I wouldn't guessed.Actually, I was lucky that it had something in English, coz in the Historical Museum everything is written only in Armenian and I felt illiterate and dumb. Workers in the museum were of not much help, since they don't know much more than I did. All in all, my trip was great; while back I posted some pics on my lj.
