Represenations of some of Alexander's companions

I've thought it would be neat to try  and find how at least some of Alexander's companions looked like in reality, so here are some of them, the ones I found on the web:

HEPHAESTION: Since there are couple of representations of him and

I know...and he's got a really weird expression. Well, after he'd killed almost every member of Alexander's family, he had a reason for that smirk.

Kassandros as leader of Hellenic Democracy? Very odd ;)
The second portrait of Lysimakos is very expressive, I like it.
Hephaestion...I like more his other portrait...*see my icon*

Yeah, I agree with you about Lysimachos portrait, it is expressive and realistic. Although I prefer the first one (well, he might've looked nicer when young *giggles*) I think the second is better by far. I suppose you saw that all of them imitate Alexander's pose of neck.

"You still keep your head cocked", as our old friend said...;)

I agree with Parisad about Lysimachus. Seleukos looks very interesting too, especially as he aged. Cassander is terrible! What a strange expresssion!

The Hephaistion one is believed by many not to be Hephaistion at all. I have to admit it's not one of my favoritess. My icon is a favorite. Another one (more likely to be actually Hephaistion) is the "Demeterio" Hephaistion:

Yes, I know! joyeee recently sent me three different perspectives of both Alex and Hephaistion from when she visited the museum. They are glorious!

I was surprised by Ptolomey's portraits. I mean I know the one on the coin, but I've never seen the other, from his younger days. And though on most of them there is his prominent nose, it's not as bad as on the coin.
