I did get that job.

I give permission to all those who put up with my dire whining about how I'd never find employment in my field after college to fling this in my face next time I get obnoxious.

I graduate next Saturday, and I start work the week after that. I didn't think that sort of thing happened to real people anymore.

Thank you. You've been with this almost since the beginning... thank you for all your kind and thoughtful words over the years.

certainly long enough
to see the great strides
you've made in your life
and some of what you've overcome.

you're welcome.
thank you for being
as open as you have.

{{you'll enjoy knowing
i'm just finishing teaching
a course in popular fiction,
and the students loved
someplace to be flying,
which delighted me
that the book connected.
love them crow girls.}}

Thanks so much. For everything, really. I was digging through my coat pockets today and found that wonderful piece of raw jade, so I was thinking of you.

I hope your application process is going well.

You're very welcome.

The application process is going slowly, but well so far. I have my first app off, and I need to get started on the next ones, but overall it's going well.

From reading your lj, it's clearly been a long and somewhat difficult journey. Congratulations on both your impending graduation and obtaining a job in your field. Well done indeed!

I won't be in DC that long this year... I'll be coming in the weekend of the 22nd and heading back to Vermont on the 30th. I'm sorry I won't be around for your birthday.
