Whoo! I probably should have waited a chapter or two for this arc to properly end before posting it, but I got reaaaal fed-up of letting it mould. So here you have it! The last of my mega-essays, the Naruto Structure Analysis
( Read more... )
Thank you! Take your time. This is a different way of reading things, so people who haven't read my previous essays may take some time to get used to this POV. :)
Once you're used to it though, you see it everywhere. ~__~
Hey, thanks! ^^ Actually, even though complicated, the rules are surprisingly simple: you'll reveal something new each chapter. Simple, right? Except when you combine it with finite abilities...
So yes, Sakura has no choice but to stand there. She doesn't have that many ability cards, and she can't use them up in every small battle that comes along. As for Sasuke, yeah, it was simply his Turn. I rolled my eyes when people said this manga should be renamed Sasuke. Naruto's the one with all the connections here.
Hahah, I've never analyzed other mangas. The reason I can do this with the Naruto manga is because I only focused on this one. If I were reading more, I'd probably not have time to view Any in-depth. X'D
That said, I very much encourage people to try to find structural rules for other mangas. ^^
Everybody Will very likely get a final fight. No reason not to: for Kishimoto, it'd just be extra chapters i.e. extra money, and as one of the main characters Sakura's bound to get her moment. It won't be super-strength based either. Maybe it'd do with clever use of summons? :D
As for leadership, yeah. Sasuke can eventually intimidate people and order then around, but Naruto's the one who inspires people left and right. Even if the process didn't always make sense. If anything, he has the support of perhaps some of the most capable of the current generation: Sakura, Shikamaru, the Hyuugas, etc. All this means that even if He is incompetent, his team of followers can compensate.
I guess that's what leadership is about. Delegating. XP
You don't think so? Perhaps it's just the way Kishimoto draws them, for me. Their faces (if you can see past Karin's glasses) are similar, and, of course, there's the hair. It's probably the hair. It's not like he draws many different female face-shapes, anyway.
