Will leave a more thorough comment on AO3 but just as general squee, I kinda love this. And the Tarantino one too. Because I kind of love Tarantino. (They were filming "Django Unchained" right near our usual launch marina for work a few weeks ago and that was awesome.)

In regards to both your comments - aaaaagh, thank you! Writing crossovers usually makes me so nervous because it's easy to get too crack-y and ridiculous, so I'm just glad you like it. (Also, that's amazing. God, that film's gonna be so incredible. Still can't believe it's real.)

Welcome! The praise is deserved. And yeah, the "24 scenes" is totally cracky and I love it (Samuel L. Jackson as Rue FTW), but this one's actually cracky-yet-serious and that's hard to pull off. So kudos.

Yeah, they were on-site for like a week. We kept driving by all these trailers and a cop car watching the turnoff and everything. I mean, I know they shoot a shitload of movies in Louisiana (they dub it "Hollywood South" these days) but this was really sort of out in the middle of nowhere so we were all "WTF, peeps, what movie is this?" So with some Google-fu we found out it was actually Django Unchained so now I'm totally going to be watching that movie for the swamp scenes and be all "DUDE I TOTALLY KNOW THAT PLACE".

My thought process upon checking LJ and returning home to a filthy house and a filthy me:

FIC.

BUT HOUSE. AND GROSS.

BUT FIC.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS.

Needless to say, fic won out. Haymitch interacting with Clove is fantastic, and it's maybe the first time I've seen that in fic. Also, A+++ at her nickname~.

(The important things, I focus on them. No, seriously, this is brilliant.)

I kind of want to see more Haymitch+Clove interaction now even though I know there's absolutely no good reason for it to happen in a canon setting. I blame this fic right here.

There's gonna be a little bit in We Didn't Start the Fire, but Haymitch sorta hates her most of the way through. For good reason, but still. It's not as epic as it coulda been because he never quite forgives her for Katniss. :(

Oh, I'm sure, and quite understandable. At least I'll be getting Brutus and Enobaria interaction with Haymitch in mine and that's something.

Words cannot express how much I LOVE THIS FIC! *adds to memories*

They break her out of jail where she’s awaiting execution and they give her a gun but she still prefers sharp objects. The gun is good for battles where the other side is armed but she’ll always have an axe to grind.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

This fic is indeed a masterpiece. (Although I do kinda wish there was more Finnick...) ;)
