It is a travel date to Copenhagen - but it does not change that the night is mine tonight. Earlier on the bus we talked about family. The family we have - the families we want to have someday - the family we are. I have never myself thought greatly on family for myself. Perhaps I always thought it would happen in a perfect package. The perfect ( Read more... )

Will you then explain to me when you arrive here? You are still coming correct?

I have to tell you... I read all of your updates and I apologize for not commenting. I find myself intimidated at times. It's a fucking shame our schedules are clashing because I would love to see a show of yours.

In the meantime, just so you know how much of an influence you are (I'm risking being a bit of a kiss-ass, I hope you can forgive) here's a goodie from a recent interview I did. Feel free to mock over drinks at an afterparty. My skin is thick.

This is in regards to my gun holsters.
What I wore all hinged on the holster. I'd wanted a unified kind of image, at least this time around. One of my biggest influences in that regard is Blixa Bargeld of Einstuerzende Naubauten. That band crosses between industrial to electronic music to punk. They were right in the middle of a whole lot of different music that had no relation to them, but they had a relation to those musics. Blixa was the singer and he had this crazy-ass hair, kind of like Robert Smith if you shaved the sides. Then he'd wear weird post-apocalyptic Max Mad gear. ( ... )

And now I mostly wear a suit. The clothes of my youth do nothing to flatter me anymore.

I appreciate this. Also you are in good company. In the 21 April Issue of Rolling Stone in writing about Trent Reznor as one of the "Immortals" David Bowie saw fit to speak of me and Einstürzende Neubauten in this "tribue" to Trent Reznor. Talking in abstract dream, myself as a waiter in this. Very interesting. I appreciated the mention, but I know that never will we, Einstürzende Neubauten, acchieve the kind of commercial successes as NIN, but it is flattering when we get a reference.
