I hadn't seen this yet. I'm glad I've seen it now. Thank you for posting it.

My dad is like yours. This won't change his mind, and I'm certain I can't either. The last time I was at my parents' house Dad was watching the news; it was the day before Election Day, and the news ran a story about Prop 8. Dad let loose with his opinions, which are very set and very grounded in the bible and Catholic dogma. (Dad's a hard-core Catholic; he converted to marry Mom at the request of Mom's parents who were Polish Catholic -- a pretty hard-core lot themselves, and I think that's why he's so hard-core... because he had to work and go through classes and jump through hoops for nearly a year to convert. Sorry. Tangent...)

"What is it to you?" - Exactly! Gay marriage is such a small issue in the grand scheme of things, so why can't we?! I think it's disgusting that the right to has been removed. We are all just people, what does it matter who we love as long as we aren't hurting others in the process? It saddens me when I think that if I marry my girlfriend here one day, that it will not be legally recognised outside of the country. Though it won't stop me marrying her if that's what we both want.
