So! Dean got volumes 2 and 3 from Tokage a few days ago. The post with spoilers of nearly everything is here.
Shinobu is actually the reincarnation of a miko who became a god. The shrine where Shinobu lives in works as a shield for his powers, and we don't know what his powers are. But our guess is that his powers will manifest once he's older. The only things he can do is sense when something bad is going to happen, if someone is going to die, see spirits, and he's very sensitive in general to spiritual disturbances, but since there's also the whole idea that eating a god gives you immortality then uh . . . I DON'T KNOW. Maybe his abilities should be stronger than I initially thought.
Basically, I'm going to assume that camp is shielding his powers somewhat and make him sense things a bit more. But some characters should be able to tell Shinobu is the reincarnation of a god.
If your character can tell Shinobu is the reincarnation of a god, then please, comment here! And if they can tell, would they talk about it? Because until we get more canon I don't want him to know that yet. :(b
