Hmmm... can't find any info about that show anywhere. Can you help me out? It's not on the Fillmore Calendar.
I have friends visiting from Berlin in April who happen to love both MGMT and Chrome. I only know one song by MGMT but yeah, it sounds like a bit of a clash. :)
We've gotten thrown on the bill last minute because whoever *was* supposed to open canceled last minute, I'm sure that's why it's not listed on the website yet.
MGMT tried to get us to open up for them at the end of our last tour as well. They were willing to pay for our flights, and hotel rooms, but didn't want to pay us anything... "We're HUGE Chrome fans, but we don't want to pay you..." :D Even with THIS show, we'll taking a severe cut in pay.
More than the $, I'm looking forward to playing on the same stage that I've seen Discharge, The Bad Brains, TSOL, The Damned and that I *haven't* seen Hendrix and the Velvet Underground on. I'm also looking forward to playing the same Chrome song on the same stage that I saw The Jesus Lizard performing it on last year! That, and antagonizing the youngsters if they don't get it.. >:)
Then I will get to see you play, probably on the 13th.
The Fillmore is amazing. Congrats on getting to play there!
Gaffi will be there who used to be Heike's neighbor who is dating Helios who you play drums for, you being my ex, me being Gaffi's oldest friend ... full-circle! Funny!
