If shoulder pads are coming back, I am not wearing them.  Won't, can't make me.  I didn't like them in 80s, I like them even less now.

Babe, have you SEEN my shoulders? I don't need shoulder pads; mine were installed at birth. I had to dress up once for something in about 1986, and found myself wearing a blouse with shoulder pads, under a cardigan with shoulder pads, under a jacket with shoulder pads.

I looked like I had no neck. And a hump.

You and I, we shall rebel against shoulder pads together.

I have looked like a linebacker since I was born, so I became quite proficient in ripping out shoulder pads during the decade that was the 1980s.
