new house, like all houses, has issues

We left the new house yesterday after some work was done on it (thanks to all the friends who helped) with several lights frozen in the on position and the rest frozen in the off position.

Aaargh.

Apparently the people who built the house in the 50s were wealthy and eccentric and loved light switches.  There are light switches everywhere and master

Good God man, that is some crazy stuff. I can do nothing this week, but I may be able to get down next week to help put out the last cinders of what was your house in the country.

Hey, my old house in Mebane used to ring the doorbell everytime you turned off the light in the downstairs bathroom - talk about announcing your business! Alas, George fixed it, but it was kinda funny, not to mention driving the dogs crazy :-)
