*Drools*

Now, I love a shiny chassis and fast wheels as much as the next girl. But, at heart, I've always had a colossal weakness for anything with wings. You can imagine what would happen if the two were combined. Which means that seeing the cover of the newest Motor Trend magazine nearly sent me into spasming fangeeking fits ( Read more... )

fangeeking, random slag

You knoooow.... the Cherry Festival has an air show that the Blue Angels come to each summer, FYI. They were the first fighter planes I'd ever seen, knew about, and had break the sound barrier right over my head. I saw the photo and I KNEW exactly which jets they were.

*peers down manhole* Hellooooo? I swear it's like the freaking Bermuda Triangle, people go in but they don't come out.

asdfghkj;l Oh man, if I had known about the Festival earlier, I'd SO be there. *drools over all the pretty planes* The Blue Angles were the first way I was introduced to the world of fighter aircraft, too. Saw them on a PBS show while I was flipping through channels when I was real young. It was love at first sight. They're also the reason why I want to become a pilot.

*blinks**attempts to look innocent and naive and stuff...fails* What? I can't help what my brain thinks. It doesn't help that I've been reading the Kink Meme when I saw those pictures. It's totally not my fault. *shifty look* Besides, it's not like it's horrible down here, why don't you join us? *makes grabby hands*

It didn't even occur to me to mention it earlier, it's such a big thing here that I took it for granted that other Michiganders knew of it. So, sorry bout that. And it kinda snuck up on me here too, I always associate the festival with hot weather but it went cold. *is currently wearing gloves & a hoodie* :( And what kind of pilot?

*stares at grabby hands in something akin to horror* Nooooouuu thank you. I'm perfectly happy to be up here, many others have tried and failed to pull me in. Up to and including certain parental units. Though thanks to all their efforts I can recognize a dirty mind and the things they point out when I see 'em.

Well, my mom did know about the Festival, just not the air show part. And if we had remembered or known about the air show earlier, like I said, I'd totally be there. Even then, it'd have to have been at least a week or two in advanced since I have three dogs to worry about. I know, it got freaking cold didn't it? I'm finally getting used to the heat (80-90 degrees at least) from working outside from 8 'till 4 for a week, and then it goes and does this on me. *grumbles**huddles under fuzzy blanket* I'd love to be some sort of military pilot, for a fighter jet, but I love the stealth bombers too, anything really. Though if I do go through with it, I'll have to get my aft in gear before I'm too old to join. Just really, I'd love to be a pilot for any type of aircraft, though the military type are by far my favorite ( ... )

*drools at the second photo* Believe me, you're not the only one who noticed the NC-17 rating that ought to have been slapped on it! XD

Also, glad to see I'm not the only one with a weakness for wings. Considering how I'm working in the aviation industry, that's actually Not Good!

I swear the photographer must have known what they were doing, it had to be deliberate with that angle. I wonder how many in Transformers fandom can no longer look at normal everyday things without thinking naughty thoughts/breaking down into giggles because of said thoughts. I know I'm not looking at a car life in a garage the same way anymore, just think of a bot lifted up like that with all their sensitive underside components exposed.

Oh, major, major weakness for wings. You have no idea how happy I was when it turned out Soundwave wouldn't be having a crappy truck as an alt mode and is instead a triple changer type. A jet AND a satellite with such very delicate wings, mmmm. *gets distracted*

*head tilt* You work in the aviation industry? What do you do?

Haha. What are the chances of the photographer being a TF fan too? XP

Know what you mean about the garage! I am happy when I see ambulances. How sick is that. D:

You forgot the tentacles. *cough*

Working in airport ops. Dealing more with the terminal building and passengers etc than pretty stuff with wings, unfortunately. But I see them almost everyday, and get the chance to learn more about relevant stuff so it's still ok!
