turns out it takes a long time to transfer 15,000 emails. apart from that, google apps seems quite nice.

it's a bit nerve wracking but good. so far. you can add my (non-gmail) email address to gmail chat now.

the process is actually pretty user friendly. you can go through and setup the destination mailboxes and even test them before it goes live. still, changing mx records is scary. one tip is when you're asked how many mailboxes you might want, aim high 'cause it's permanent. I'll probably only use 15 but I said 500. I don't want to run out.
