I sort of feel like talking about books, even though it's not nearly time for a monthly book list.

Film Directing: Shot by Shot (it explains when to use every kind of shot)
Story by Robert McKee (great book on screenwriting)
The Visual Story by Bruce Block (Steve hasn't read it yet, but i've heard it's also very good)
just incase you wanted to read some good books about filming :) They may not have them at the public library, I had to get Story from Lakeland Community College's Ohio Link! So they're kind of obscure. If you can get your hands on them, though, they're really thorough.
