Logan/Jean hasn't been one of my personal favorites in X-Men-fandom, but I have always appreciated the relationship between them, and your story demonstrates why. I have never doubted Logan's love for Jean, and that love shines through in this story, his endless loyalty to her and how stricken he is by her presence. Jean in this story has this otherworldly feel to her, but it has nothing to do with Phoenix; in Logan's eyes she is just that radiant. I think it fits. I think it shows how much he cares for her

i agree but at the same time it is the tension between the two of them and their situations that make the pairing so interesting (in my opinion at least)

Very true. That UST is addictive!

But even if they did get together, they still wouldn't be the vanilla couple of Scott/Jean. I tend to think Logan's the only guy who could really be with Jean, someone who's near omnipotent. He's not going to feel all inadequate in comparison. And Jean, I think she inspires him to be something better.
