Once upon a time, there was a prince and a princess...
Prince Alfred rode through the forest on his mighty white horse, whistling a jaunty tune. The day was bright and sunny as always, and the forest was alive with woodland creatures who scampered out to look up at him.
"Sorry, guys," Alfred called out apologetically, giving them a quick wave while passing by. "I'd love to stop and chat, but I've got a princess to save. Isn't that right, Silver?" he asked, patting his horse who neighed in response. Apparently, he was "weird" and "not a real prince" because talking to animals was something princesses did. I hope to provide plenty of lulz in this fill! I also hope you don't mind that I didn't go with your bonus of France as Nancy (though he'll likely appear later on, just not as England's current boyfriend) and ended up making the secondary pairing Canada/Ukraine. It'll still be mainly US/UK, after all, and I'll make sure that it sticks to that once Alfred gets dumped into reality. XD

It had taken eight minutes for Peter to stop complaining about how his parents let him stay up past nine PM (which was a bald-faced lie as Berwald had made it very clear to Arthur that he and his "wife"'s adoptive son was not to go to bed any later than nine PM, and no one in their right mind would argue with someone like Berwald), which was not really that much longer than usual, but Arthur was not in one of his better moods tonight ( ... )

"It does look good," Alfred commented as he examined his newly tailored wedding outfit in the full-length mirror. "but I still think it would look even awesomer with more red in it."
"Any more red in that thing and you're going to look like you're bleeding," one of the tailors groused. "Not that I care, but I don't want to be responsible for damaging the eyes and mental health of wedding guests."
"Ve, Lovino, I don't think that red, blue, and white together will really harm the eyes of others," the other tailor spoke up with that blithe voice and smile that made him instantly discernible from his brother in spite of them looking identical otherwise. "Although I do think that Prince Alfred looks best in blue too."
"Really?" Alfred said, giving his figure another check-over and adjusting the peacock feathers in his blue hat while tuning out Lovino's protests about how he had never said anything about the prince looking good in anything. "Now that you mention it, the blue does fit my eyes ( ... )
