"I know you didn't know," said Eduard quietly. "And I know there was no way you could have taken us with you...but...I...I can't help but be a little angry..." he trailed off, still trying to figure out how to say what he wanted to say. Because it was true. He did know there really was nothing Toris could have done for them, and he was glad his older brother, who had always had the worst of it here, was the one to get a break, if only for a little while. But at the same time, there was a part of him that just couldn't let it go.

Toris shook his head and wrapped his arms around the middle Baltic brother, interrupting his struggles to find the words.

"Don't worry about it Eduard. I know. I...I'm not sure if I wouldn't be angry too, if it had been me in your position..." he murmured softly. He sighed deeply and hugged him for a moment before backing away and looking downward, not meeting his brother's gaze.

So...I was talking to a friend of mine today...and I told her how I really am at a loss of what to do with this story, and she said I should make Russia go in.

So, anons. That might be what's going to happen. :D Just thought I'd let you all know. I will try and get it written and up today, though it might take until tomorrow. I'm working on another fill right now too.

The three stood in awkward, pained silence for a moment, none meeting either of the other's gaze. Each were consumed with their own thoughts. The ball of guilt writhing in Toris's stomach held all his attention. Though Eduard hadn't blamed him, or, at least, claimed to not blame him, he still couldn't help but feel terrible about it. True, there was nothing he could have done, but...he'd abandoned his younger brothers! Here! And it wasn't as if he didn't know what it was like to live here. He knew all too well ( ... )

Yes, this is the end of the story. D: I'm sorry to end it so suddenly, but...if I kept going, I just don't know where it would end, and I've already filled the request and the Lithuania bonus, so...it seemed a good place to stop. :)
