The Sweetest of Conquests - 1/? (Rome/Spain) anonymous August 1 2009, 22:05:11 UTC
Request: http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/9482.html?thread=12152330#t12152330

- Sorry it's so fluffy.
- Historical accuracy will be the death of me.
- Iberia/Hispania/Ispania? D; I'm just sticking to 'Spain'.
- I never quite grasp how old anyone is ever supposed to be. So imagine Spain is whatever age makes you comfortable.

Carthage is old and weary of fighting, and Rome is still young and willing to fight until his weapons dull, brittle and break, because the thrill of conquest is more pleasing to him than wine, better yet still than partaking in cannabis ( ... )

Hispania nods his consent, unsure, lips parting as Rome glides his tongue over the pink shell of his ear and places a hand on his abdomen. The boy breathes shakily, back branded by the heat of Rome's body and sharply aware of what is lying between his legs.

He isn't sure what the point of this is until Rome pushes forward, somehow pressing even closer, and Hispania's breath hitches. Oh. The manhood rubs against him and his stomach muscles tighten at the sensation. It's insufferably ticklish and at the same time it's like the most satisfying scratch to an itch, the sensations amalgamated, going hand in hand. Hispania cannot make up his mind whether he wants to pull away or push back ( ... )

This was actually sweet... Anon enjoyed it very much and glad to see the end of it. *nods* Rome in general has treated Spain/Hispania relatively nicer compared to France/Gaul.

I really like the both of them react to each other, how Hispania is innocent, yet also understanding certain things. =]

He really is going to have to keep him away from Germania.
Haha~ Yes, Rome will have to make sure of that. xDDDDDDDD Germania isn't going to be very approving of it...

Thanks for the fill!

Th-this is so sweet and hot and yes, creepy good. I love how you described their different thoughts, the historical details, Germania (lol), everything just fits with the time period so nicely. Fantastic job, I am so impressed.

This is the anon writing the other Rome fic, orz

Ah, really? Half through writing it I kept wondering how Hispania!Spain and Roman!Gaul!France would meet, and what their reaction to one another would be. Would France deem him a suck up? Would Spain laugh it off? Oh, the possibilities.

I'm glad you liked it. :D

I thought this was fantastic, and certainly IC! I love your characterization of Rome, who is enough of a bastard to be believe, yet has a kindness to him as well. And it has the right atmosphere for the relationship between Rome and Spain as well - as Spain prospered under Roman rule, and upheld Roman traditions even after the rest of Europe rebelled and fractured. I certainly see Spain looking up to Rome as a sort of father, and being much more affection to him than the rest of Europe (save for the Italies of course). Might explain Spain's later obsession with S. Italy too!

Also love the foreshadowing, and Rome's side comments about Germania! XD

Ummm...while I agree Rome's handling of Hispania was slightly better than Gaul, I've read that although they started the colonization of Hispania a bit earlier than Gaul, they actually didn't manage to conquer the entire peninsula until 200 years later (against the Celtiberians) compared to the 50 years or so it took to conquer Gaul so...while Hispania is techincally Rome's grandson and inherited his culture and language and blood, their relationship wasn't always so fluffy. It took a long time to subdue the Celtiberians...and although I also like Rome and Hispania's civil relationship, we shouldn't be misled that that's ALL it was.

kdflsjakf late!OP is horribly and inexcusably late (D:!), but oh my god, this is wonderful. Everything, from the characterization to the interaction to the mind-meltingly hot sex (there needs more intercrural in the world, holy shit *_*), is so pitch-perfect, it's hard for me to do anything more than flail. I realize that I've said this so many times that it's probably starting to sound a little trite, but I really do love your writing. There's something about it, this perfect balance of description and fluidity, that makes it flow so well, it makes for comfortable, and easy reading.

I am seriously a little bit in love with you anon, so if/when you de-anon yourself, know that I am happily willing to follow you around for any of your other future writing efforts (my username on eljay is "suxing").

... that sounds a bit creepy/stalker-esque doesn't it? ;~; But I mean it in the best of ways!;;

Shhh. Don't tell anyone, but I'm the anon who runs the Turkey/Greece index listed up in the first post. ^_~

And it's alright, better late than never? Cliche but true~and I'm glad you like it, I actually had a lot of fun writing it even though it was somewhat... weird. It was a bit more akin to writing original fiction than Hetalia fic.

Hey, some of my best friends started out as my stalkers. xD xD (sounds terrible, doesn't it?) so... haha. It's fine. I'm flustered and blushing and very pleased that you liked it so much.)
