US/UK/US: In which /England/ Screws Up. Big Time. anonymous August 1 2009, 17:20:15 UTC
In many a US/UK/US, America is portrayed as the oblivious idiot who says something stupid and messes up big time, who must then apologize/grovel/make things up with the always-right, knows-best England.

For once, I would like to see England say something particularly stupid, mess things up between he and America, and have to correct his mistake. After all, England insults America just as much as America does him (if not more), and I can easily see England going overboard and just taking America’s amiable/oblivious nature for granted and unintentionally really hurting him.

Bonus: Protective!Canada and Mexico telling England off North American Fortress style X3

All’s Fair in Love and War… Except for When You Play the Fat Card [1/?] anonymous August 1 2009, 20:55:17 UTC
Anon who said she might do this if her plate cleared. It didn't, but this was one big ass plot bunny that attacked me and wouldn't let me focus on my other stuff. Updates might not be regular in the next week, sorry.

===================================================

England liked to think of America as a trainer. It was a strange concept for their relationship, but they always kept each other on their toes with arguments that England assumed America knew meant nothing. A bicker here, a fight there. Nothing too serious ever came out of it. It was practice to sharpen the mind and the tongue. America would make a mistake, England would promptly explain just how he did it and reprimand him with ways to fix it while when England made a blunder, the American made sure to point it out regularly as if it was the second coming.

But, their most recent argument went horribly awry. America had once again insulted England’s fine cuisine and their fight was going like normal until…

“You really can’t cook!” America said as he stabbed his knife ( ... )

Anon swears she wasn't trying to make this as depressing as it's coming out. Happy ending there will be I promise you!A few days had passed and America still refused to answer England’s calls. England was starting to get incredibly worried. When America was upset, a handful of things could happen. He could plan revenge, seclude himself out in the countryside somewhere, eat MORE comfort food, or who knows what else. So England decided to call the only country who would know exactly where America was and how he was doing. Canada ( ... )

I love Canada, even though I'm American.
Warning: telling your loved one they're overweight can cause bulimia,over-exercising, anorexia, binge-eating, depression or over-sensitivity.

:gasps: England! Using the fat-card DX That's horrible, especially because...hasn't he read the character notes!? America thinks he's fat, and works out not to be, gets heavier, and thinks he's getting fatter because muscle weighs more than fat DX You're encouraging the cycle, Iggyyyy D=

But...Canada is love here, even if he's unknowingly making some things worse ^^'

And America, please eat something! You're not right without a hamburger in your hand XD

OMG OP! That would be a brilliant idea! I mean, since America isnt eating and he works out to lose more weight he should pass out while working out!

That doesnt sound as coherent as it did in my head....

@OP: Yes, England is such a jerk. That was the first major America conflict that came to mind. Totally forgot that's in his character notes too.

And @ second Anon, if I saw that before I finished up Chapter 3, I totally would've just had him pass out when Canada left the room. Hell, maybe I might still have that happen with a blood-curling scream from dear old Mexico.

Writer Anon knows exactly how America feels. One little comment can fuck you up and you won't listen to a word your friends say to fix it. Only one person's opinion matters really. Again, damn angst. Wasn't planning it to be this depressing, but yet again, there will be somewhat of a happy ending! Possibility this chapter's going to give away who I am but I don't care. Writer Anon's also going to be gone over the next few days so no updates, sorry! ((And on a cliffhanger to boot...))England felt uncomfortable the whole plane ride over. First and foremost he’d have to figure out exactly where America had hidden himself away (With his luck it would be out in the desert somewhere or Alaska) and then he’d have to find the proper way to address the situation. He’d never had to apologize to America. America always apologized to him, even when it should’ve been the other way around. England quite honestly didn’t have a clue on how to apologize to someone. He’d never had the need in his life ( ... )

“¿Que? Fat? América you fool! You are not fat! You are muscle, you are perfect, and I wouldn't mind cross-”

“Not. Now. Mexico.” Canada growled as he watched his sister’s hand move closer to his brother’s crotch. She pouted both at that and the fact America wasn’t seeming to care at all.

“Oh, América. Mi hermano América! Please, please stop this! It is not right! You are perfect! Please don’t listen to the lies, hermano mayor!” Mexico whimpered softly. America looked up at her with his broken blue eyes and smiled softly. It was a hurt one, but it was a smile that Canada hadn’t seen in a few days and it broke his heart at the same time ( ... )

Mexico is America's Belarus.

I love it. XD

It's angsty and depressing and I'm worried for poor Alfred, but at the same time, I'm cheering the kick-ass Canada and good heavens I love this Mexico. England's in for some real trouble once that door gets open.

Anon lies. She got up WAAAY too early to head out on the road to America's house so here's chapter 4 for you guys. You don't get to see the final result until later~ I'm so evil~ Canada opened the door with a sigh. “Listen, whatever you’re selling, we don’t want-…” He stopped in his tracks when his eyes met green. Did England want to kill America or something ( ... )
