Lol, so Americanon has been looking at different national anthems and what not and when I listened to "God, Save the Queen," I noticed how it matches the tune to an American patriotic song called "America (My Country 'Tis of Thee)."
And I figured, hey, it's probably something that slipped into America's subconscious back from the time of the colonies (human brains constantly rip off things from other sources without us noticing (: ).
But then I remembered how the American national anthem was formed. You know, poem written during that war-we-will-not-speak-of and eventually adapted musically from a British pub song and turned into our national anthem. Sure, the song was a bit pimped out, but it still came from a British song
