Same-Sex Marriage Legality as Coming Out of the Closet

When a nation allows same-sex marriage, does that mean they've come out of the closet?

Anon here would like to see Spain's coming out of the closet, possibly to Romano? Considering that apparently the southern half of Italy supports it more than the north, maybe he admits it to Romano? If you could somehow turn this into SpainxRomano...I would be astounded and in awe of your skills, anon.
