Not exactly Alfred's best plan...

This anon likes to think that Mexico is America's Belarus.
This anon would like to see Ivan and Alfred somehow ending up in the same hiding spot, where Alfred gets the brilliant idea that he and Ivan should get married so their respective stalkers will leave them alone.
Only Alfred has no idea what he's gotten himself into before it's too late.
Bonus 1: Belarus and Mexico team up to try to crash the wedding but they fail epically
Bonus 2: They succeed in crashing the honeymoon, but with bad timing and they barge in on something embarrassing *winkwinknudgenudge*

Hell yes Mexico, you go girl, chase down that no-good vato and put a RING ON HIS FINGER, chica! Make an honest man out of America! Everyone knows Mexican women know how to keep their husbands in line.

Alfred had always loved Boston. It had been many things since its founding-a city for Puritan settlers, the birthplace of the Revolution, one of the primary cities of the new nation, a vibrant, modern city in the age of technology, a city full of life and history. The history of Boston was the history of himself. So many memories were contained here, in those streets. A far cry from its early Puritan years, Alfred knew that if there was any city where the personification of America could marry his same-sex somewhat psychotic former arch-enemy three days after proposing to him, without anyone batting an eye, it would be modern Boston

Alfred turned his attention to the preacher behind the altar. He had seemed very laid-back about the whole deal when Alfred assigned him to the task of marrying him and Russia, but now it appeared that he was having second thoughts as he caught a first glimpse of Ivan. It seemed as though all the blood had drained out of his face, leaving him with a sickly ashen complexion. And he didn’t even know Ivan’s true identity. Alfred briefly wondered what the poor man would do if he knew he was marrying America and Russia, but he didn’t dwell on the thought

It was a large wedding, complete with pink and white floral arrangements hanging over every pew, a dozen bridesmaids dressed in lacy gowns, and a professional photographer snapping pictures every two seconds

This is so amazing. I'd actually love to see that minister's expression if he found out he was marrying two countries-- and the Cold War pair, no less XD
Oh my God! If that's the book I think it is then that was one of my favorite books when I was younger!
You deserve my first-born for this fic, you really do. Amazing job author anon!
And now England's involved... Can you read my mind? 'Cause I was totally just thinking he would join the team and lol'ing at the thought of how dysfunctional that team would be.

Oh! You updated! When I read the part about the scarf keeping Russia's head on, that story popped up in my head too! That story scared me when I was younger.
Keep up the great works anon! England's part of it to now~

The scene in the chapel turned to one of complete chaos. The preacher had fainted in shock when the strangers dropped from the ceiling, and now a couple equally stunned members of the audience were trying to revive him by fanning his face with a scarlet-covered hymnal. The rest of the audience members were torn between running after the fleeing couple, confronting the intruders, and just going home and trying to forget that any of the preceding events had happened at all.
A/N: Damnable word limit. I was so close, too.
I have no idea how wedding vows go (haven't been to a wedding in years), let alone how gay wedding vows go, so I’ll just leave it at this.
Bonus points to whoever can catch the song being referenced in this part. And yes, in case you ask, I've been waiting to use that line in a R/A fic for much too long.
And I'm horribly sorry for the long spaces between entries. Now that I'm settled in college, they should come more frequently. I promisez.
