He DOES care! USxUK

In canon, America is always such an uncaring asshole and understandably, that attitude seems to follow him into fanworks as well. Well, I want to see America's sweet, caring side for once.
England has come home from a really shitty day, tense, headachey and just beaten down. At first America just wants to be a callous buttmunch like usual but when he sees how depressed England is, he changes his mind. I want America to spend the rest of his evening pampering England, letting him know that in spite of the way he usually acts, he really does feel lucky to have him as a lover. Er, no smut, please.
Bonus: America sings England to sleep at the end <3

Sorry--I'm not any of the anons who'd responded so far, but I just couldn't resist.
Even now that they were . . . uh, dating, or their special relationship was even more special, or whatever you wanted to call it, it wasn’t like America was over at England’s house every day. Hardly ever, actually, or at least not nearly enough for him, but he did have plenty of work to do, after all-how many awesome heroes did the world have, anyway? So the least England could do, considering how America was taking the time out of his schedule to hang around England’s house for a whole week, was take into account that America was bothering to visit him at all (not that America wouldn’t, because he missed England like . . . like something . . . sappy and dumb, like part of himself, or some shit, when they weren’t together, but it wasn’t like he needed to tell England that, because England would probably just laugh at him like it was funny or something, anyway, and it wasn’t like he needed that crap from England of all people, especially these days

America followed England into the kitchen and watched as he fumbled around in the cabinets for tea and the kettle. It took him longer than usual. His shoulders were slumped, too, and he was still shaking.
He walked up behind England (being as stealthy as only he could, like an awesome ninja), and slung his arms around his waist, pushing his lips into the space under his ear.
England yelped, and jumped, and smacked back into him hard. “Ow!” America exclaimed involuntarily-England’s head had slammed right into his mouth, damn it!-but he didn’t let go, still pulling England tight against his chest.
“Let go, you bloody wanker,” England growled. America just hugged tighter.
“Don’ wanna~” he said playfully, teasing.
“Get off!” England practically shouted, and twisted out of his arms, or tried to. America could feel how he was trembling, shaking, practically, and he let go

America turned his attention to the teakettle. Whatever England thought, America really did know how to make tea. It wasn’t all that hard; certainly no harder than grilling a burger or fixing a car (two things he took pride that he was pretty damn good at). He put the kettle on, and then considered. England probably needed something to eat-America knew he always felt better with a good meal inside him, and sometimes England went for what America considered a disturbingly long time without actually eating-but though he was better than England, America wasn’t the greatest cook in the world. He pretty much couldn’t do anything well but breakfast and grilled stuff (but he was really good with grilled stuff

Love this fill so far, anon! It's great seeing America being nice to England for once, even if he still thinks that England should acknowledge how awesome he is for doing so (never change, America). I always thought that America acting like an insensitive jerk to England in the strips was him being tsundere in his own way and that he'd probably soften up a bit if they got into a relationship (if not as obviously as England), so this would be sort of him being in dere mode. And I always love seeing tsunderes going deredere. :3

Author-anon says hey, thanks! It is, and I'm trying to keep it in character (oh, America). HEY, me too XD. I figure that while England is default tsun, America's tsun tends to only be for England. In a relationship, I think he'd definitely be softer (though England more so), and . . . yes! I'm enjoying it. I hope you continue to like it, anyway.

I once requested America for once not being the one in charge and getting Arthur down but this pretty much makes up for the fact that that one was never filled. :) I really like this.

Oh this fill is awesome. So sweet and Arthur gets to appreciate how awesome of a boyfriend Alfred really is. I mean how sweet is that, Alfred remembered all of England's favorites and preference in between the long tirade of cursing and complaining. Awww I send you much love and applaud!! this is love~~ Hetalia is Love~~

He crunched into another slice of bacon, grabbed himself a piece of toast, and settled in to watch. In the end, England ate all three poached eggs, four slices of toast, and four slices of bacon, and had three cups of tea, and America ate and drank everything else on the table.
As soon as he finished, England moved to stand, reaching for his plate and teacup, but America stood more quickly, his chair screeching back. “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” he said. “What’re you doing now?”
England slid an incredulous look over at him. “I’m clearing the table,” he said. “What does it look like?”
“Um,” America said, and took several quick steps around the table to press England back down into his chair, both hands on his shoulders. “No, you’re not.”
England looked up at him, and America could practically see him thinking have you lost your bloody mind, America, even hear it, almost, in that clipped, deep, rounded British voice, husky and a little rough with weariness. He noticed that England’s shoulder muscles were tight, jumping with tension

D'awww. Oh America, how well you trick England into letting you do the dishes. Truly you are the nation of Tom Sawyer. *snerk* And I love how America's words, the way you write them, make me think of him talking with this thick Southern accent. Who's better at pampering and spilling over with hospitality than a Southern gen'lman, after all?
OP is totally loving this. It's just what I had in mind. I love how you managed to keep America in character even though he's acting out of his usually prescribed role. England is well done, too, of course. I really appreciate you taking this request, anon, and look forward to reading the rest :)

Looks like England's not sure what to think of America suddenly doing everything for him (I wouldn't be too surprised if he's thinking that there's got to be a catch for all of this). America will just have to keep on pampering him until he finally loosens up. :)
I like how you're keeping America and England very much in-character in spite of the whole "America being nice to England for once" thing (but really, America is perfectly capable of being nice; he's just, ah, a lot more tsun towards England than anyone else). The banter between the two of them is great to read.

Awwww, I'm deeply in love with this fill! It's truly adorable, anon, and America is so endearing and in character, and so is England and I love you. Please, update soon! <3
(do you have non-anon stuff in the comms, or other fills here? Because, I don't know, I feel like I know you, or something.)

Ahaha, it figures. First time I comment on your work (which I fangirl a lot) is when I'm anonymous. Wait, that sounded stalker-ish. I promise I'm not a creep! Just an innocent Canadianon!
That aside, I simply love your writing style for this. The fact it's America's point of view and reads like America's point of view is fantastic! Even the run-ons that sometimes pop up (which normally really bug me) seemed really appropriate when they appeared. All the dialogue is really good, too, and I'm really picky about dialogue.
And, of course, you write both of these guys completely in character and everything sort of works. Essentially, you have these two down pat.
