The UN has a party and Ukraine goes along to try to make new friends...but she gets so nervous about it, she ends up drinking too much at the party and gets completely smashed...and starts telling all sorts of really embarrassing stories about Russia when he was little. Very loudly.
Bonus - She manages to thoroughly embarrass Russia before he finally shuts her up. 'Nother Bonus - 'Shuts her up' means physically picking her up and carrying her out the door. One more - If you can give it a Russia/Ukraine slant, I'll love you forever.

Today was the day she'd make some new friends for real, Ukraine had told herself before the meeting started. She was going to speak up, make small talk, and come home feeling incredibly satisfied about her social skills

Russia was worried, and not in the standard way which boded ill for the recipient of his concern. His sister, it seemed, had not returned to her hotel room today. He had asked the receptionist and then broken down the door to check for himself

"Izzat so? Do tell." England chirped back, putting a flailing arm down to keep his head upright and listen to what promised (in his mind) to be a riveting story

Things were quiet for a time, and Russia reached the lobby in relative peace. Ignoring the strange looks he received from anyone in the room who knew him, he calmly proceeded to the nearest empty elevator.
"Don't see why you had to take me. I was making friends, an' it's not like you need me anymore." Ukraine suddenly said, looking melancholy through her drunken flush.
The statement startled her brother, and he slowly lowered the hand that was about to press her floor's button to look down at her curiously. "Sister thinks I do not need her?"
"Sister knows you don't need her. 'm part of the old memories, not the new. Like a security blanket you grow out of." she replied casually, focused more on fiddling with the medal on Russia's coat than the conversation

I laughed until I cried, and then I just cried. They're both so precious here, and I've gotten a recent kick for this pairing going. Such sweetness here, I absolutely love it. My favorite stories with Russia are the ones that show he has a great capacity for caring. This is wonderful, anon.
I like stories that bring out other aspects of Russia's personality, too. I've read some really great creeper stories, yes, but that's just one aspect of him. It's nice expanding.

Oh Russia in a dress then lighting the house on fire! This will bring a smile to my face in many a grim day... Oh wow I think I might be converted to Russia/Ukraine. :O Beautiful work anon!
Oh anon! You made me laugh so hard (drunk!Russia falling in a lake or wearing a dress and catching the house on fire are just way too hilarious) but the ending was just adorable (and made me tear up a little, no lie.) They're such a sweet pair, it's too bad this couple isn't more popular!
Bonus - She manages to thoroughly embarrass Russia before he finally shuts her up.
'Nother Bonus - 'Shuts her up' means physically picking her up and carrying her out the door.
