Someone, in a brief moment of pique or whatever suits you, acts possessive over America. America starts a 'jkdshfaslkjh! /doesn't belong to anyone independent grr!' routine... only to realize that he's actually, well, sort of turned on. A lot. Over this possessiveness.

He stared at Russia for a long moment waiting for the other nation to make some sort of move besides the outright staring. Eventually Russia lifted his glass in America’s direction. America nodded slightly and then turned and said his goodbyes to his brothers and left the room. He felt Russia’s eyes remain on him until he’d left the room behind him. It should have made him uncomfortable to be that scrutinized by Russia but it hadn’t. There hadn’t been any malice in the look just something…something that America couldn’t put his finger on but made him as twisted up inside as England’s hand on his back had done earlier in the night

As he spoke his last words he poked his finger into America’s chest. Not hard enough for it to hurt but he sent America off his precariously balanced perch causing him to slip and tumble to the floor his head connecting with the back of the bard on his way down. He bit out a sharp yelp of pain mixed with surprise as his movement was stopped by the floor

America opened his mouth to protest that comment when England spoke again. “It doesn’t matter what he understands,” England said in a low voice. “I’ll still protect him as I deem necessary.” America jerked backwards a little both at the words and from the unexpected reaction his body had to them, it tightened up all over

(Not OP) Oh my...I am a hard time forming a coherent response. I love everything in this fic, with a strong emphasis on matchmaking (or at least helping along) France and InDenial!America. (Though one does have to wonder, is France a masochist or just really bored? Hehehe.) I really, really love that it takes England 'a long moment of thoughtful silence' to say America's independent. Oh yes, England accepts that fact so well :) And the ending lines? I cackled. Somehow I doubt they will leave you alone, Alfred.
Heh...well France is...France. I've given up trying to figure out exactly what goes in his head sometimes. My sneaky suspicion is that he's trying to get into someone's pants (though when isn't he) and is acting all "manly" because of it. Although practically throwing yourself in someone's elses lap and almost getting yourself choked to death as a result is probably not the best bet to go about such a thing... ;-)
Oh England, he accepts it in a perfect reasonable fashion...he doesn't have to tell himself a thousand times a day that America doesn't actually still belong to him...not at all.
Poor America...you're probably very right on that one!

THIS IS THE PERFECT RUSSIA/AMERICA\ENGLAND FIC! Poor America, he's probably going to lock himself in his room for the rest of the week... or trying to get out of there as soon as possible.

E/A/R fic is so rare isn't it...even rarer where one of them isn't trying to rape and/or torture at least one of the others. *squishes them all*
America would probably love to do that if he thought he could get away with it. Unfortunately I don't think his boss would be very understanding and he'd have to at least open the door for room service so...probably not in the cards for the poor boy.

America bounded up the stairs of the hotel to the third floor. He could have just taken the elevator but he’d ducked into the stairwell when he’d seen Canada and Mexico hanging out in the lobby, probably waiting on him. The last thing he wanted to do at the moment was deal with Mexico though he would have to call him first thing in the morning to…apologize or something for Russia’s behavior. Not that he should have to since it wasn’t his fault but he didn’t really need yet another black mark on the minus column on the tally sheet he was sure Mexico carried around in his head. He wanted to speak to Canada even less he was sure France would have filled his brother in on the events that had happened in the bar. He was sure to either get yelled at, probably for three hours, or just questioned ad nauseam about what was going on and what he was going to do about it
