This Canadian!anon really appreciated this fill. It's nice to see some Canadian politics, as well as Matthew standing up for himself. Aren't accents a bitch with English keyboards? I feel your pain on that one.

July 24, 1967 - Hôtel de Ville
The cheering of the crowd had nearly drowned out all hope of any conversation. Not that much was going to be accomplished right now by means of talking. Matthew lingered behind all of the politicos, just taking in everything that was going on. Francis hovered at his side, leisurely sipping on a glass of red wine.
The Frenchman had leaned over to murmur something in his ear, but it was washed out completely as the balcony doors were thrust open and the voices of Québec’s people rushed in. A fond smile had settled on Matthew’s lips -- it always did make him happy when he knew his people were.
But that all soon changed. And in just a blink of the eye.
"Vive le Québec libre! Vive le Canada français! Et vive la France!"The room itself fell silent, completely silent, while outside it was chaos. He barely felt when the wine splashed against his leg as Francis dropped
