It has been discussed that the best ways to improve relations are through Joint Ventures Internationally and Domestically with an equal partnership between all parties involved, a lessening of border security to allies with a decrease in tariffs, an increase in trade and showing favouritism to the allied nations, having more governmental interactions and being open about all outside treaties and partnerships that are in existence. Arthur stared down right into the hopeful blue eyes of the nation he had raised, one whom he watched bloom into the international power. The very one whom he cared for so much only to be left behind and then taken back. Arthur couldn't even count how many times he shouted at Alfred and accused him of not being sincere. In the long, cold nights he'd scream until they both were close to tears, blaming Alfred for whatever wrong was happening to either of them... but the truth was... The truth was that Alfred always managed to pull a strong face, take his hand and make it alright. No matter how big the pain in Arthur's chest was one hug, one kiss and tender low voice right next to his ear managed to bring the comfort he longed for. One may say he was getting old and maybe they were right, because the longer Arthur thought about it the more sure he was he needed someone in his life, someone who would now be taking care of him. Someone to be there just for him. "Yes" Arthur said finally, his lips dry and eyes shining
