This plot bunny's been kicking my brain for a looooong time now...
For whatever reason (they're dating, their bosses are forcing them to get along, etc.) Russia has to go and have a nice dinner with America, with American food. Things are going just fine, they're actually enjoying themselves, and then the food arrives, and Russia decides that America definately learned to cook from England.
cue Russia trying desperately hard to avoid spoiling the evening, gagging, and not let America on to how bad the food is.

The many famines over the centuries of his life had forced Russia to, in shear desperation, eat some pretty horrible things. He had eaten grass, bark, even mud at times. And even then, he felt quite certain that he had never tasted anything as awful as America's tuna surprise

At any other time Russia would have appreciated the hug. Unfortunately, America was squeezing him too tightly, and Russia's stomach decided that it had had enough abuse. He roughly pushed America away, clamped a hand over his mouth and bolted for the bathroom. He managed to get there in time and hung his head over the toilet as he retched. Guilt twisted in his chest. He had failed. America would surely know how bad the food was now...he was going to be so sad! And what would he think of Russia? It was beyond rude to let the host know that he had hated the food... What would this do to their relationship? Things had been going so well lately...would America take this as an insult? Would he even want to see him anymore? Russia felt like crying (real tears this time, not just ones brought on by torturing his taste buds) when he felt a hand rest against his back. Russia tried to take a deep breath and apologize, but his stomach heaved again. America just rubbed his back gently as his vomited

I loved this so much! xD Poor Russia! Good thing America didn't realize!
American!Anon is feeling a little weird, though... People say that American food is disgusting and stuff like that, but.... I like American food xD I didn't know it was so horrible lol I was raised on American, Italian, Mexican, and fast food! >:D
Though, I must admit, I don't like tuna cassarole all that much. But it's not THAT bad.

Honestly, I like American food too. But the joke seems to be that America's a terrible cook...then again, the Hetalia fandom seems to think that everything American is uncultured and inferior. *sigh*

American!anon loves american food as well.
The whole stereotype-ish thing about American food is partially true me thinks. When I studied abroad in Italy, many of my german and italian friends that had visited America have told me that our milk and meat tasted weird, not bad but weird.
Anyways, love your story authoranon. Can't get enough of those two!

Awww Poor Russia^^ The end is so cute X3 And yes, Americs cooking a must be miserable because he probably learnt it from England and he always eats fast food so can can´t cook at all^^

On another note, tuna does not belong with casseroles, or anywhere else besides a sandwich...
