Is it just me, or is Romano's story really sad?

And because I have an insane kink for h/c at the moment... I'd love to see Spain/Romano, with Spain finally realising how he's made Romano feel all these years. I mean, is it just me or does Romano's actions seem like he's seeking attention? And can you imagine if the guy you kinda-maybe-sorta liked begged someone else to take you in exchange for your younger brother?

So! Basically, Spain with Romano (preferably with Romano bottoming) and heavy on the emotional hurt.

Bonus: Spain catches chibi!Romano crying after Romano eavesdrops on a conversation between Austria and Spain....

It's not just you. Poor boy ended up with a gigantic inferiority complex, and I always feel bad for him.
