Gilbert Beilschmidt looked at the demon sprawled in the pentagram.
The demon looked back at him, blue eyes flashing over a slightly balding head of blond hair. A middle-aged but still good-looking man, anybody looking at them would have thought - unless they could read auras, that is. Then the man didn't really look human at all.
"You - You, you you bloody idiot human, what do you think you're doing!? I'm busy, damn it - "
Alright, this was not going as planned. At all.
"I'm not a human, just for one thing."
The demon stared at him.
"Oh. ...Oh, you're one of them, aren't you. Eww."
Eww?Gilbert sighed. This was going to be a long night

It was 1947, the War was over, and Prussia no more.
Gilbert wondered why he himself still existed. Shouldn't he be gone already? Though he hadn't disappeared either when the Ordensstaat became the Duchy of Prussia, so...
We wandered by a large puddle of water on the floor, thinking to himself. He wouldn't mind saying goodbye to his brother, before he disappeared entirely...

Gilbert grinned. The peach - was it really peach? - brandy wasn't bad, once he started drinking it in earnest.
"Bargain?" The demon snorted. "What...Well, never mind. What I'm trying to do is win a war. Or at least end it without losing too much."
"...And you're not doing too good, are you now."
"No." The demon mumbled. "Stupid barbaric humans..."
Oh, ho. Gilbert sighed.
"Alright - So is there anything specific you're worrying about, now?"
The demon hiccuped, and then poured himself some more of the brandy.
"Yeah. I think I - figured out how to hit the enemy Mages. I could take about a third of the enemy human magic workers out of the equation in one fell swoop, if I played things right, but - "
"Sounds good." Gilbert mumbled. "Sounds real good. So what's the catch?"
The demon glared at him, sniffing.
"I'll have to use the halfbloods and outright humans in our forces to do that, and - and I don't want to. We have too many halfbloods and mixbloods as there is, they're not trustworthy no matter what my sister says, and, and,

This was inspired by this request 'Prussia sells his soul'

but it didn't quite fit the request entirely, so I posted it here.

"Hey! Hey!!"
There was somebody splashing around in his bath. In his clothes. While he was still in it.
Gilbert opened one eye. "Oh. You?"
"Did you try to summon me again, you fool?"
"N-Noo. I'm too drunk for that now, anyway..."
The demon took a sniff at the vodka he'd been drinking, and made a face.
"Damn Shimaronese brewed taters...Why were you drinking in the bath by yourself? Did you want to drown ( ... )

Because for the Ex-Regent to hang on to power so long, he had to be doing at least some things right, in my opinion...
