Fantasy AU take on Little Red Riding Hood with America as Red and Russia as the Wolf. Anyway you want to play this is fine (ie literal translation, Russia under some sort of curse, Russia just as his normal human shaped being himself, something else...anything goes, except gender swapping/cross dressing).

Smut would be a nice addition but it's not needed. If it's there please no shota and no rape/dub/non-con.

Bonus: America finds himself in the supposedly haunted/over-run by monsters woods because Canada (or someone else) dares him that he couldn't spend the night there.

His eyes squeeze shut before he can think, leaving him with the imprint of long fangs inches from his cheeks, matted gray fur and oh God make it fast -

“How…boring.”

The world stops a little bit. The words are rough, almost lost in unrefined animal vocal cords, yet curiously gentle - soft and dangerous as they roll against his skin.

Strangely, the first thing Alfred feels is relief. Relief, because the wolf is talking now, crouched over him and talking, for Chrissake, and this can mean one of two things: Either he is dreaming, or he is already dead. He almost laughs and his lips twitch upwards, eyes still closed tight.

“What is funny?” the wolf asks - deadpans is the word Alfred would use to describe it, if wolves were capable of such tones. The voice is even closer now, the great head leaning in. “Look ( ... )

“Wait - ”

He feels that he should really stand up, but it’s difficult with his ankle throbbing and those eyes boring into him like needles of ice and stars between the branches.

“I like challenges. So far, you have not been one. So I will give you a head start, yes?” Violet eyes widen and hackles rise in jagged lines. Lips pull back into a feral snarl and this creature is wild.

Alfred scrambles to his feet, barely touching the ground with his left.

“We will try again.”

The next word is guttural and no longer quiet, ripped from the animal throat like the thrill of the hunt and blood reflected in moonlight.

“Run.”

Yeah I love Wolf!Ivan already his description is so perfect...and him finding Alfred boring is just so perfect. Honestly I don't think I could use the word perfect enough for this fic because it really, really is!

Can't wait for the next part...pffft.

Author!Anon is working, I swear. I've had a pretty crazy last few weeks (including a long visit from my genealogist grandma; turns out I'm freakin' PRUSSIAN), but now things are a bit better and I shall press forward. Pleeaaase accept my humblest apologies. I'm enjoying writing this, and I missed it.

Oh man...don't worry about it, real life is always more important and I'll happily wait a good long time for more of this beauty!

Coincidentally I discovered this week that one of my great grandmothers was from Austria...I'm pretty sure my mom was confused by my reaction to finding that one out...oh Hetalia how you make life fun in the most interesting ways these days.

Didn't know if I was supposed to create a new thread for this in past-part fills now that we're onto the next part. /fail. So...I guess let me know if I am?

It is some time before Alfred has to stop running. His ankle is throbbing and he can’t see very well anymore, but there isn’t much he can do about either issue at the moment. Matthew’s bag is long gone, back at his whistling-tree, and he can’t seem to find his way there. Or anywhere, for that matter. Not that he has been focusing too terribly hard on direction. He leans heavily against a tree, reaching down to feel his enflamed ankle. He winces. It’s a wonder he made it this far.

He knows that he has to get out of these woods; that much is perfectly clear. He has decided not to think about the why too hard at the moment - if he does, he’ll start trying to convince himself that he has not actually come into contact with a talking wolf, and that would be a bad thing, as he knows he has, the memory still fresh in his mind, and denying that will probably just get him killed ( ... )

“I…what?”

“Don’t argue, there’s a dear, just go and take the pelt away.” She steps close to him, leaning up to his face, and she smells like something rancid and what is wrong with those eyes?Alfred flinches back, and she laughs again. He realizes she is pressing something into his hand, and when he looks down he sees Mathew’s drawstring bag. “Thank you for bringing a poor old woman dinner. You may need that light,” she says, and glances up at the sky. The trees are spaced well enough in this little grove to see by moonlight, but that won’t be so in many places. Alfred knows that by experience now ( ... )

I literally flailed when I saw this pop up into my mailbox and I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't just a response to another part.

Love, love, love, love, so much love. Seriously this is such a fantastic fill and I'm happy to see it return and can't wait to see what happens next.

I don't remember if you said you were mixing folk/fairy tales but think I vaguely recognize the was hinted at in this part though maybe it wasn't Russian when I read it, so many of those old folk tales get passed around from culture to culture, anyway I just yeah...loved it.

You can keep posting in this part until it maxes out. They just close them early to allow people to keep posting parts to the original to make it easier to find. Once this maxes out you move to the past fills post.

Thank you!
