U-uh, hey, what's up? OP here! Holy smokes, I had forgotten all about this. This was the very first request I ever made on the kink meme! Thank you so much for taking the time to fill it! You did a marvelous job and I absolutely adore the end there. It's so wonderfully in character. <3

Spain's spaciness, which I find rather adorable in fic and in canon, somehow got a lot more disturbing, because I could just imagine him slurring, in a quiet and yet sweet voice, "How old am I?"
There's something always very sad about considering a beaten Spain; I don't know why. Maybe because he has a lot of reasons to be desperately unhappy but manages to smile despite of it (canon says that he really is a happy-go-lucky idiot who actually can't read the atmosphere to save his life).
Really well done portrayal of the "tsun-tsun" mess that is otherwise known as Spain and Romano's relationship, in any case! I like the pairing but it's so frustrating to never see it done well.

What can anon say... she just likes her Spain creepy/disturbing in every situation possible. And a happy Spain despite the situation makes a happy author!anon! It is a bit saddening, though, considering the setting. Insane, too. *Omnomnoming on your praises*

This fic is... Is it weird that the first adjective that came into my mind is adorable? I mean, it's full of blood and gore and angst, but there's this sweet undercurrent that somehow really speaks to me. It may also be because I love fics in which Lovino manages to show some kindness to Spain while retaining his tsundere self. And there are certain 'hidden' elements of their relationship that you hint at with such ease, it really feels so natural, like Lovino's rationalization about why he doesn't say 'I love you' to Spain.
Also, I have to admit, I'm really biased towards authors that remember Lovino's supposed to have a good eye for art, too (yes, he's my favorite character. I'm so ashamed.)
Also2: have you written something else recently? I feel like I came across your style somewhere else.... A Spain-centric fill, maybe? But if I'm wrong disregard.

If it's about Lovino caring for Antonio, then no matter the amount of angst and such, it's not hard to find it adorable, yeah? He shouldn't be so mean to him in the first place. *sob*
I try to widen my horizon beyond tomatoes and mafia. (Romano has the best voice in the anime. Makes my heart melt! Just felt like I had to mention it.)
I did write something with a same-ish style recently. It was about Spain's citizen interacting with him from time to time.

Yeah, I was thinking of that one - loved it. Especially the part about the Civil War, it's an ugly spot in Spain's recent history, but you handed it really well. Also, I liked how you went about describing Spain from the narrator's POV, the way you took some of the things the fans love about Spain (his constant smiling, his happy-go-lucky nature...) and showed how, from the narrator's POV, those were bad qualities.
(Wait, why I'm reviewing that other fill here? Oh well).
