Sorry for the extremely late update!America was not sure what to expect once they landed. When he thought about the land of fairies he thought of green fields and blue skies, rainbows sunshine, fluffy bunnies, the whole sugar and spice and everything nice deal. The world, however, looked bleak. The sky was whitewashed grey, the grass frosty beneath his feet as he stared across the rolling hills of sparse heather and sandy earth. The odd skeletal tree, bereft of all leaves marked the land as guideposts for travellers and the arms for nests of small, almost balding birds ( ... )

Shafts of light shifted between the leafy branches as the progressed. The forest was not unlike any other forest America had ever been too, though he had never really seen mushrooms grow to the height of his hip or glow to brightly. Those weird flowers with tongues for petals were definitely new too, and he was sure that daisies walking around on little hands and feet were not native to his country ( ... )

Yikes, cliffhanger! This is a really great story and I'm glad you're continuing! I love stories about the Nations interacting with the Fae. <3
