Loves Me Not

I don't know if this has been done before or not, but I'd really love to see this.
America is in lust with England. He has been for quite some time, such a long time that he believes that he is in love. Al decides to tell Arthur he loves him at the next world conference meeting, convinced he'll be accepted into Arthur's heartand bed.
However, when he arrives, he overhears France and Spain talkingbitching about England's longstanding, and loving and heavily sexual, marriage to (male) Portugal.
Cue confrontation with England. Screaming and shouting at him, hurt and angry he was never told about their marriage.
I'd like to see Arthur helping Alfred realize that, no, he doesn't love him. He's infatuated with him.
Bonus: Portugal wants to kick America's ass over loving England, but England won't let him. Double Bonus: Arthur points Al in the direction of someone who's silently loved him for a long time.

T-that sounds really, really cute. Seconded.
Thank you for being awesomely rational, OP, and making the emotions a two-sided affair. Some of the recent accusatory-style requests (where only one-side seems to receive sympathy) have been making me very sad-face.
