On a rare trip to England's home America goes out exploring and in the woods on England's country estate (or the back garden of his London home whichever) he finds a large, strange colored egg. "Research" helps him discover nothing and only serves to pique his curiosity over what it is. Instinctively he knows that England will take it from him and that Canada will tell on him so he keeps it a secret and when it's time for him to return home to the Colonies he smuggles the egg back with him. Eventually the egg hatches and out pops a baby dragon. America and the dragon instantly bond and the dragon grows up under America's care getting big enough to ride but still not full grown ( ... )
