He was woken up by a gentle rumble, which turned out to be his cat, Loka, purring as she reveled in his warmth. Peering at the clock, he translated it at 2 o'clock in the morning, an hour after he'd drifted off. Or maybe he had just pretended he'd slept by keeping his eyes closed. It seemed like it. He sighed, making the cat open one eye and yawn at him, before sleeping again
