You're not alone, America, we've had partisan paralysis too!

From Paul Krugman's recent op-ed, 'America Is Not Yet Lost': "What we’re getting instead is less a tragedy than a deadly farce. Instead of fraying under the strain of imperial overstretch, we’re paralyzed by procedure. Instead of re-enacting the decline and fall of Rome, we’re re-enacting the dissolution of 18th-century Poland." See http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/08/opinion/08krugman.html for full text.
Anon thinks Poland and Lithuania need to sit America down and have a Serious Talk with him about how the filibuster and nomination blocking are bad things, and how sometimes you just have to let your boss be a teensy bit of an autocratic dictator. Just a wee bit. This isn't an intervention, America, just that we're worried, and we know what you're going through! It seems like such a good idea to spread democracy around, but then it just gets out of control. But we care and we're going to help you through this difficult time.
ahah, true

Pff, anon saw that request earlier today, thought about it, and would have attempted a fill if she knew more about American politics! If the anon who commented before does fill it, though, I promise I'll bake cupcakes for everyone involved this weekend. :)
