America/Russia - a little twist on the mpreg

Anon would like to see America and Russia have a kid together. America, after raising 50 states, has plenty of experience with taking care of babies, could probably change a diaper in his sleep and has pretty much seen every childhood illness/injury/crisis/weird thing kids stick up their nose imaginable. He knows what he's doing and is fairly laid back about the new kid.
Russia, on the other hand, has never had a kid before and has no experience in this field, and as a result acts like a typical really nervous first-time parent who freaks out over every hiccup.
Fluff and cuteness, please. I don't care which is them is the mother and which is the father, or if you'd like to gender bend things or whatever.
Bonus: After some traumatic events in his past *cough*ROMANOVS*cough*, Russia is paranoid about accidentally hurting the baby. Extra Bonus: America eventually teaches him the ins and outs of caring for a baby and helps him to calm down.

Note: So first of all, I'm *not* 2nd Fill Offering anon. Instead, I am kamikaze fill sneak-attack anon. Quite some time ago, I wrote another Russia/America mpreg (http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/10530.html?thread=16618274#t16618274). I bring this up because this current fill can but does not have to be considered a much fluffier sequel to that fic, as I will likely be bringing in an older version of that fic's Alaska character for a cameo or two in this one.

Over the many, many years he had been a part of this earth, Russia had gained something of a reputation. And, like any truly worthy reputation, it was thorough. It incorporated all of the senses: the scent of gunpowder and dried sunflower, hearing a faint kolkolkol in a dark, seemingly empty room, feeling as a lead pipe slams into the side of your head, tasting rust as your own blood coats your tongue, and finally opening your eyes again only to see a wide grin looming

The color that had slowly been returning to Russia's face immediately drained away again, and he shook his head wildly. “Nyet, nyet! That isn't it at all! It's just... I'm...” His eyes met America's, perhaps hoping he could express what he was feeling without words. Please don't make me say it out loud.

Suggestions...maybe dealing with the baby having a bout of colic? It's tough for even an experienced parent to deal with it. I can't imagine how much it would freak out Russia.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, OP!
And oho, it is funny that you mention colic. I definitely intend for that to be one of the topics. According to my mom, I was an unrelenting, take-no-prisoners colicky monster until I was around 3 months old. There was only one thing she could do to get me to settle down, and I intend to use it here. :)

AHHHHHH! Such a wonderful beginning! I truly wish that I could give you suggestions on what to do but I am just cooing at the fic... I loved your last fic and just went back right now and reread it and am sighing happily, your writing rocks! As for suggestions maybe a bigger cast this time? The little snippets I just read about England, France and Spain in your last fic (even though it was barely a paragraph) were utterly hilarious. Or feel free to ignore and do whatever you want to do. I will be stalking this mercilessly! :)

Heh, I'm really glad that you enjoyed both this fic and LAWLS (... oh my god, is that seriously the acronym of my other fic? HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS SOONER?). :D
Your suggestion intrigues me, though. I was intending to have this be more one-on-one with Russia and America, but it might be difficult to keep all of those other ridiculous dorks at bay. I'll definitely keep the suggestion bouncing around the back of my head and see what comes up.
